Since I was the seller, I didn’t have a choice in the title company. Most of the process was pretty smooth. But when it came to the Account Statement, I had already purchased this and the title company insisted that I needed an updated statement even though we had settled on the original date. This was a redundant document I had already purchased and the processor did not check the documents I had already provided to the buyer and the title company. This was an unnecessary expense at the end just before closing. Despite this issue everything else was done fine.
