First Equity Title

We appreciate the feedback shared by the customer. Our office informs agents that we charge $75 for split settlements in our standard form upon receiving a title order. It is customary to hold funds from the seller for a water levy in case there are additional charges due that would prevent the deed from being recorded. We are required to have docs recorded within 10 days and this helps expedite the process when additional funds are due. The amount is determined by the last amount due for water usage. In this case we waived the water levy to satisfy the customer concerns. A wire charge is a pass through charge which is charged by our bank and is $45.00. With 21 years in business we want to make every effort to provide excellent service at a fair price.
