Here is your chance to own a piece of history and make it your own! Built in 1904 as a wedding gift for Mrs. L. G. Pierson, this home was once known as The Silent Night Guest Home & was advertised as offering “modern accommodations for discriminating travelers” (after having some renovations done in the 1920’s that included bricking the exterior and adding another bathroom upstairs)! This stately home sits on over a half-acre corner lot and boasts 5,500 square feet (per the current owners who purchased & have lived in the home since 1974). 4 gorgeous columns accentuate the nice front porch that welcomes you into the home. Once inside, you will find an inviting open floor plan with soaring ceilings and more gorgeous columns & heavy trim! The formal living area has a built in cabinet w/ the original beveled glass & a beautiful fireplace; Formal Dining is a great size & has the twin of the other fireplace! Also on the main floor you will find a nice sized den, spacious bedroom, office, full bathroom (w/ original subway tile from the 1920’s, built in storage & an iron pedestal sink), breakfast room, and kitchen w/ electric cooktop & double ovens! Upstairs there is a wide hallway that connects 4 oversized bedrooms & 2 additional full bathrooms. Large walk in closet in one of the bedrooms actually houses an old stove that was used back when the property was a guest home! Another room at the top of the stairs (that is currently being used as storage) could be used as a sunroom or additional bedroom! There is a balcony overlooking the front yard as well! Back downstairs, you will find the laundry room inside the enclosed back patio where there is also a stairway that leads to the second floor. Just outside the back door is a private patio area w/ lots of flowers & beyond that is a HUGE back yard w/ mature trees that has a fish pond; Underneath the carpeting in the home there are beautiful oak floors just waiting on someone to uncover them again!
