Zoning
RR
Rural Ranch Residential Zone
The purpose of the Rural Ranch (RR) Residential Zone is to provide principally for the development of single-family detached dwelling units at very low densities, and to provide for the establishment and/or maintenance of a wide range of agricultural uses. The primary purpose of requiring larger minimum lot sizes is to assure an adequate area for the very low density residential lifestyles that currently exist within the city limits, to continue to allow for various forms of agricultural activities, and to preserve the rich history of a rural nature within the city. This zone may be applied both to those city areas which are generally rural in character or to those areas which may undergo more intensive development. In the latter case, the same zoning district shall be considered as a holding classification.
