About 1/3 of a mile up the South Fork of the Santa Ana River lies this approx. 722 sq. ft. mountain cabin up against the side of a hill right next to the river itself. Across the partial wraparound wood front deck you enter the living room with the river rock fireplace at one end and pass through to the old kitchen featuring a fairly modern propane range oven, propane refrigerator (everything is powered by propane since no electric is available except by the propane powered generator in the shed up on the hill). 2 small bedrooms share a bathroom. The attraction to this cabin is its location and that it is entirely off-the-grid behind security gates. The ambiance is all but impossible to replicate and still be in Southern California. The big trees, the sound of the river continuously running by, the birds and wildlife, the lack of civilization is incredible. The scene must be seen to really be appreciated.

It sits close to the South Fork of the Santa Ana River. The cabin has a nice size living room with a river rock fireplace, good size kitchen with stove and frig and lots of cupboards and storage space. The cabin is clean and comfortable and the owners kept it in great condition as well as putting on a new roof last year. There is a deck that runs the length of the cabin with plenty of room to relax and enjoy the outdoors on. A separate storage shed holds the propane driven generator which runs the entire cabin with electricity. This cabin sits in a beautiful area behind a locked gate with about a dozen other cabins. A great get-away from the city life.
