ngineering Report #1 - At the end of 2012 a Geotechnical Engineer carried out an extensive soils investigation of the property including drilling core samples for testing the soils conditions. His 1st report dated January of 2013 is attached to this listing. A Floor Level Survey was also done. This Floor level survey showed that there is a difference of approx. 3 inches from the high to the low point in the slab. The report states that there has been MODERATE soil/foundation movement caused by expansive soil. He also states that the residence appears sound from a geotechnical standpoint & there are no indications of building or foundation instability. In conclusion he states that future major soil / foundation movement is unlikely. Then he gives the repair recommendations.The repairs were carried out according to the above recommendations. Engineering Report #2 - A 2nd report dated May 2013 basically states that repairs were carried out according to his recommendations. This second report is also attached. Engineering Report #3 - A third inspection & report was carried out in March 2014. A 2nd floor level survey was performed to determine if there had been any further movement since the repairs had been completed. His conclusion was that the floor elevation difference is essentially unchanged from his previous survey done in October 2012. In his 3rd report he states that no new interior or exterior building damage was observed & the surface drainage next to the house has been substantially improved as part of the renovation & that there were no indications of recent or ongoing soil/foundation movement.
