About Carmel

Point

Carmel Point, located between Carmel River State Beach and Carmel Beach, is a coastal and residential Carmel neighborhood with blufftop paths and pocket beaches. The neighborhood’s character concentrates around Scenic Road and Ocean Avenue, where cypress-lined views frame a quiet, walk-and-pause rhythm. Storybook cottages and mid-century homes sit behind hedges, with frequent glimpses of the Pacific. Carmel River State Beach draws birders and sunset walkers along the lagoon edge. Mission Ranch Restaurant anchors the nearby social calendar with lawn views and live music. The Barnyard Shopping Village adds local boutiques and cafes in a low-slung, village-style setting.
