This home is really nice with one of the most breathtaking views I have ever seen in this area. You can see San Francisco in detail. This home has a large kitcen that lets out to an outdoor patio which can be used as an extended outdoor dining area....
There are balconies on both levels facing West, presenting a tranquil place to hang out and admire the view. One of thing to be noted is that entry to this home is not on Snake Rd, but Hemlock, which is a very narrow road with severe road damage, please be cautious driving on this road as you approach the home.

Montclair, located between the Oakland Hills and Piedmont, is a residential and village-style Oakland neighborhood with a wooded ridgeline setting and a compact commercial core. The neighborhood’s character concentrates around Mountain Boulevard at La Salle Avenue, where sidewalk cafes, independent boutiques, and small specialty shops line the blocks. Montclair Village anchors daily routines with low-rise storefronts and a walkable main drag. The Montclair Railroad Trail threads through the district as a green pedestrian corridor. Nearby, Joaquin Miller Park and Redwood Regional Park frame the area with trailheads and canyon views. Housing leans toward mid-century homes and hillside properties tucked along winding streets.

6930 Snake Road is a property you will have a deep affection for, starting with the center stage seats to unobstructed views of Oakland, San Francisco, the Bay. One can enjoy the magic of gazing at the cloud formation, the sparkle of the Bay, the motions of the world below from the en-suite bedroom, the living room, the den or the two large decks. Open, updated kitchen dining area w/ vaulted ceiling, fireplace and skylight has French doors to a tucked away front patio and garden. Ed & Grace were drawn to the views, but the layout with 2 bedrooms & 2 bathrooms upstairs and 3rd bedroom and bathroom downstairs was superb when one of their grown sons moved back. Ed and Grace added their personal touches by planting a shade garden off the lower deck along with, Turkey fig, Fuyu persimmon, plum, Fuji apple, Bosc pear, and a small Satsuma to the rear of their decks. They had dreamed of landscaping the entire hillside of this large lot that goes from Hemlock Lane to Snake Road.
