Planned Development District
The purpose of the Planned Development District (P-D) is to allow diversification of the relationships of various buildings, structures and open spaces in planned building groups, while insuring substantial compliance with the district regulations and other provisions of this chapter, in order that the intent of this chapter that adequate standards related to the public health, safety, and general welfare shall be observed without unduly inhibiting the advantage of large scale site planning for residential, commercial, or industrial purposes. The amenities and compatibilities of the P-D District shall be insured through the adoption of a development plan and specific plans showing proper orientation, desirable design character, and compatible land uses.
