Own your own slice of heaven at over 5500 ft elevation, high atop Palomar Mountain. .. San Diego's best-kept secret. Lovingly built by its owners in 1996, this beautiful home offers the comfort of New England style, room to roam on over two and a half acres, and even a peek ocean view of the Pacific on a clear day. Mature landscaping paints a picture you won't forget including Giant Sequoias, an apple tree, chokecherry, white birch. hops, crawling wisteria, and, Oh! the Sugar Maples, how they turn orange in the fall. Layout provides one bedroom and full bath downstairs, 2 bedrooms and 2 full baths upstairs, including the master suite and balcony. There is also a generous walk-in attic, framed for dormers, making a perfect bunkhouse. Thoughtful amenities include 2x6 construction with metal braces, passive solar orientation, central heat plus 2 fireplaces (one pellet, one wood burner in the master), Saltillo tile flooring downstairs, local oak on stairs, board and batten doors built custom built by the owner, kitchen counters made from Palomar Mountain oak trees, roof replaced in 2015, newer exterior vinyl siding, 2 rainwater collectors (5000/2400 gallons), master floor made from local fir, hand-painted in classic New England colors, walk-in closet in master, whole house sprinkled on the interior, 2 sheds (one with power), a new side gate, 28 ft oversized 2 car garage, and a newer jacuzzi that conveys with the property. All of this right here in San Diego County with close proximity to the Palomar Mountain Lodge and world-famous Palomar Mountain Observatory. Sound magical? It is! Now is YOUR time to continue this magical story!

RR
Rural Residential District
The RR Use Regulations are intended to create and enhance residential areas where agricultural use compatible with a dominant, permanent residential use is desired. Typically, the RR Use Regulations would be applied to rural or semi-rural areas where urban levels of service are not available and where large lots are desired. Various applications of the RR Use Regulations with appropriate development designators can create buffers between residential and agricultural uses, family or small farm areas, or large lot rural residential developments.
