RPC (O)
Residential Planned Community-Combining Oil District
Residential Planned Community: To stabilize and maintain the residential character of the district; to provide a district in which a variety of housing types and unit densities and related commercial uses may be developed through the use of a development plan as described in this chapter; to maximize open space; to provide, through the use of a development plan, an improvement to the integration of the neighborhood environment beyond that which would otherwise be created by normal zoning practices.; Combining Oil: The purpose of the O district is to provide for the use of land or the surface thereof in connection with the removal of minerals, including, but not limited to, oil, gas and other hydrocarbon substances. The planning commission is specifically directed to consider the establishment of said districts in corridors or islands so as to cause drilling sites to be available in as many areas as possible to enable the orderly extraction of oil and other materials within the city.
