The dignified magnificence of redwood trees is a constant presence at this tranquil South Salinas home. Soaring high above the nearly half-acre property, they form a protective half-circle around an enormous yard, filtering afternoon sunlight and lending a lush, organic backdrop to the crisp Post Adobe structure. Fresh off a remodel, the home has updated finishes, yet retains all of its original and distinctive character. Those with an eye for excellence in architectural design will find much to celebrate in each room of this single-level dwelling with five beautifully simple bedrooms, a formal dining area, and an awe-inspiring living room. Let your senses revel in the gorgeous lines, noticing the way the white brick fireplace cuts through a wall of windows to meet a rich, dark wood ceiling with beams that reach all the way across, drawing your gaze forward and out into nature. Glance down at sunspots warming concrete overlay flooring. Indoors or outdoors, you feel you are in touch with the elemental. In the courtyard, overhead grid beams add more visual intrigue. Discover a vast backyard space that is rife with opportunity for your gardener or landscape architect, who will see worlds of creative possibility in three long tiered rows of as-yet empty soil waiting to spring to life.
