Own a large part of historic French Gulch including about a half mile of Clear Creek. French Gulch was founded by French miners in 1849 and became one of California's major gold producing areas. There appears to be 2 or more mines on the property along with old creek tailings. The mines are the Dudley and part of the Hughes mine. The title company says that some of the minerals got reserved in the Patent and any minerals that had already been claimed to exist or had been discovered prior to the Patent are reserved. Any minerals that are claimed to exist or were discovered after the Patent went with the property. Stunning views for miles! Adjoins government land on 3 sides total. Two sides have over 31,000 acres of BLM land and the other side has over 41,000 acres of National Park Service Land. This property was in the 2018 Carr Fire. You pass by Whiskeytown Lake just before you get to the property. It is 15 mi to Redding. The Whiskeytown Lake area has boating, swimming, fishing, a beach, and many hiking trails with 4 leading to awesome waterfalls. I have been to 3 of them and can attest to their worthiness of the hike. The elevation goes from 1300 ft to about 2600 feet and is on both sides of Trinity Mountain Rd. There is a small PGE power station that adjoins the property and has an easement for access and lines.

Clear Creek at its finest, which you get about 150 feet of, is a gold bearing creek and French Gulch is famous for being one of the top gold sites in the past. This property is located about 25 minutes from Redding, CA and you will pass right by beautiful Whiskeytown Lake with lots of recreational activities as well as a nice boat ramp. There are numerus waterfalls around the lake to hike to and they are incredible. The elevation ranges from about 1300 ft to 2000 ft. The property is quite steep and that is one reason why the price is so affordable. The 2nd is that you get about 144ft by 33ft of land in a tringle shape before you hit the creek with 99% of the land on the other side of the creek. Lastly, the deed does not specify how one is supposed to go to the property, so it lacks a deeded access from the county road, Trinity Mountain Rd. One has to cross National Park Service land to reach the property. This is not a parcel that you would build on, its highest and best use it recreational or as a potential investment.
