Southeast Jacksonville, located between Downtown Jacksonville and the Intracoastal Waterway, is a residential and commercial Jacksonville neighborhood with riverfront parks and sprawling office corridors. The neighborhood’s character concentrates around the San Jose Blvd and Baymeadows Rd crossroads, where plazas, local eateries, and late-day traffic set a brisk, practical rhythm. Community pillars include Theatre Jacksonville, San Marco Theatre, and Aardwolf Brewing Company. Mid-century ranch homes and newer townhome pockets sit alongside big-canopy streets and creek-fed greenways. The St. Johns River and nearby preserves shape weekend routines with boardwalks, launches, and shaded trails. Dining and shopping cluster along San Jose and Baymeadows, while quiet side streets keep the pace measured.
