Arlington is an upcoming neighborhood close to the airport, beaches and the St. Johns River making it one of the most uniquely positioned and conveniently located neighborhoods in Jacksonville, Florida. There are biking and hiking paths, gardens, boating shopping, restaurants all within minutes and downtown is just across the river. The new development, College Park (see pic) is in the planning stages which will have live music, food courts, apartments and retail. Jacksonville University, located just down the street which has been "a driving force behind Renew Arlington". "JU also facilitated the first big new construction project in the Renew Arlington era, when the university attracted Dolphin Pointe Landing, a privately owned $18.5-million skilled nursing center being built on the northern edge of the JU campus". "Arlington is beginning to take shape" (credit: the Time Union) Property values in Arlington are rapidly increasing and now may be a ground floor opportunity to realize rapid appreciation. Historically like many Jacksonville neighborhoods, once the neighborhood revitalizations start, property becomes too unaffordable quickly and before you know it, you've missed the opportunity.
