Merrill Pines, located between Merrill Road and the Arlington Expressway, is a residential and commuter-friendly Jacksonville neighborhood with a pine-canopy streetscape and a low-rise, mid-century feel. The area reads as practical and quiet, with ranch-style homes and small apartment communities set back behind mature trees. The neighborhood’s character concentrates around the Merrill Rd & Hartsfield Rd corridor, where local storefronts, takeout counters, and service shops create a steady daytime hum. Iconic community pillars include the Jacksonville Arboretum & Botanical Gardens for trail time, the Regency Square area as a long-running retail landmark, and the nearby Tree Hill Nature Center for hands-on nature programming. Short drives connect to the St. Johns River shoreline and the sports-and-entertainment district downtown. Daily life centers on errands, green space, and straightforward routes across Arlington.
