Baymeadows, located between Interstate 95 and Southside Boulevard, is a commercial and residential Jacksonville neighborhood with office parks and low-slung apartment communities. The neighborhood’s character concentrates around Baymeadows Road at Southside Boulevard, where plazas, taquerias, coffee counters, and service storefronts keep the sidewalks in motion. Mid-century ranch homes and newer townhome pockets sit behind wide arterials and retention ponds, giving the streetscape a practical, car-oriented rhythm. The Baymeadows corridor reads as workday Jacksonville—glass-fronted buildings, lunch spots, and gyms—then quiets into cul-de-sacs after dark. Community pillars include the University of North Florida Gallery of Art, the Museum of Contemporary Art Jacksonville, and the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens.
