Located only a few short miles from Siesta Key beaches and downtown Sarasota, a serene oasis awaits. This unique 1.05 acre property nestled off Proctor Rd. and Sawyer, defies all its surroundings with thoughtful native landscaping, done by renowned local landscape architect, Tim Macksey. The exquisitely designed natural landscape give an old Florida feel in the heart of the city, shrouding you with perfect privacy from neighbors and the street. Follow the walkways that snake through the property to discover relaxing hidden sitting areas and beautiful gardens. Deeper into the property, lies an equally unique home that seems perfectly cohesive to its setting. Designed by Terry Osborn, AIA, the exterior of the home features board and batten siding, and an abundance of black framed windows with white trim surrounding them. Entering the front entry door, a vaulted tongue and groove ceiling with clerestory windows, and large bypass windows below bring natural light to every facet of the space. Rich wood floors, trim, and doors give the home a warm inviting feel and Old Florida charm which pairs perfectly to the landscape. The raked ceiling of the formal dining area is highlighted by its skylights and framed perfectly by large cedar beams. The kitchen features stainless appliances including a gas range, along with ample cabinet space. Also unique are the lofts situated above each bedroom, providing a perfect space to read a book while looking out the window over the gardens below. The master suite has a loft as the others do, but with a bonus room attached large enough to be a movie room. The oversized detached 2 car garage with a 220-volt electric charging port has the same architectural style with a studio space above equipped with a full bath and kitchenette. Recent updates to the home include a New Roof (November 2023), an outdoor screened-in pavilion, a large chicken coop, a fire pit, hot tub, and a sky deck. No HOA. One of a kind is usually cliche, but in this case it's fitting. Come see for yourself today!

Drive down a secluded driveway lined with gardenia, hibiscus, jasmine and towering live oaks with Spanish moss to the one acre fully fenced property further landscaped with sea grapes, banana trees, staghorn ferns, lilies and other native plantings. RSF-2
Residential Single-Family District
The RSF Districts permit single-family residential densities, which may take the form of single-family detached or cluster subdivisions; Cluster subdivisions may include lot line, traditional, patio, villa, atrium, duplex, or townhouse units. The nature of the use of property is the same in all RSF Districts, with variation among the RSF-1, RSF-2, RSF-3 and RSF-4 Districts in the requirements for density, lot area and width, and yards; A limited number of nonresidential uses are allowed, subject to the restrictions and requirements necessary to preserve and protect the single-family residential character of the neighborhood; The RSF Districts are generally used to implement the Comprehensive Plan within those areas shown as Low Density, Moderate Density and Medium Density Residential on the Future Land Use Map and on the Barrier Islands where the application of the district would not increase the density of development or hamper hurricane evacuation planning and disaster mitigation efforts. Locations on the Barrier Islands that have existing RSF zoning are acknowledged, and are considered to be consistent with the Future Land Use Map. The RSF-4 District is also used to implement the Comprehensive Plan in the areas shown as Office/Multifamily Residential Area and Corridor on the Future Land Use; The RSF-4 District, while not a primary implementing district, may also be allowed in Regional, Community, Village I, Village II, and Neighborhood Commercial Centers. Appropriate densities within the Low; Moderate or Medium Density Residential areas shall be guided by the density ranges as outlined in Future Land Use Policy 1.1.1, Objective 2.3, and Policy 2.3.1 of the Comprehensive Plan; These densities shall also be determined, in part, by the land use designations and developed residential areas surrounding the parcel.
