About this home
Along the tranquil shores of Lake Beauclair sits a 2.39-acre double lot on Deer Island, a 400-acre natural island cradled between Lake Dora and Lake Beauclair, offering over 600 feet of private water frontage on the Harris Chain of Lakes. Opportunities like this don't come twice. Imagine waking every morning to the glassy stillness of your own private horizon. The property's dual-water orientation captures the full arc of the day, with sunrise unfolding across Lake Beauclair and sunset extending toward Lake Dora. Part of the Harris Chain's 75,000 acres of navigable water connecting eight pristine lakes, this is a world-class playground for those who live by the water. Cast for trophy largemouth bass on waters that host major national fishing tournaments, carve across the wake on a ski run, or cruise directly into the enchanting historic waterfront of Mount Dora for dinner; or pull up to Tavares, Florida's famed "America's Seaplane City, " for a waterfront dining experience unlike anywhere else. Build your private dock and every one of those moments begins right at your doorstep. At the heart of the island, Deer Island Country Club sets the tone for life here: an award-winning 18-hole championship course ranked #5 in Florida and among America's Top 50 Public Courses. Memberships are available but never required. The Club's restaurant and bar are just a golf cart ride away, the perfect cap to an afternoon on the water or the fairway. The homesite itself is naturally composed, with expansive water views already in place and only minimal clearing required beneath a canopy of mature live oaks and palms. Neighboring lots are conservation land, meaning the breathtaking natural setting around you is protected. Just water, sky, and the kind of privacy that money rarely buys anymore. Orlando is approximately 45 minutes away. The Atlantic and Gulf Coast beaches are within about 90 minutes. And yet, once you arrive on this island, the outside world feels beautifully, blissfully far. This is the kind of lot that rewards you long before a single wall goes up. Come walk the property, stand at the water's edge, and let yourself imagine. Because a life this rare deserves to be felt before it's built.
Deer Island Club, located between Lake Dora and the Dora Canal, is a gated and waterfront Tangerine neighborhood with private docks and golf-course greens. The neighborhood reads as a quiet peninsula of custom homes, screened lanais, and cart paths framed by palms and lake breezes. The character concentrates around the Deer Island Clubhouse and marina, where golf carts, boat slips, and sunset views set the daily rhythm. Deer Island Country Club serves as a central gathering point for tee times and clubhouse dining. Nearby, The Village Coffee Pot and The Goblin Market in Mount Dora add a local, small-town counterpoint for espresso runs and date-night plates. Water routes toward Mount Dora and Lake Eustis keep the landscape oriented to the shoreline.
