Bath-Edie, located between downtown Augusta and the Savannah River, is a residential and historic Augusta-Richmond County consolidated government (balance) neighborhood with tree-lined blocks and a porch-forward streetscape. The neighborhood’s character concentrates around the Broad Street corridor, where galleries, independent eateries, and sidewalk patios set a steady, lived-in rhythm. Nearby pillars include the Morris Museum of Art, the Imperial Theatre, and Le Chat Noir. Housing leans toward early-20th-century cottages and classic Southern townhomes, with pocket gardens and mature canopy trees. The riverfront and canal paths shape daily routines with long, flat routes for walking and biking. Cafes and small venues keep evenings low-key and social without feeling staged.
