A truly super-private retreat on Maui's north shore with an incredible white water ocean view. Located at the very end of the road, through 3 gates and down a beautiful foot path which meanders alongside the stream. This unique and contemporary home was built to take full advantage of the natural setting, perched 120' above the crashing ocean. Bordered by State Land to the east, open pastures to the west, and the Pacific Ocean in front. Tropical forest surrounds the home site, and there's a nice grassy area up top for parking and gardening, with ocean and mountain views. Floor to ceiling windows and Ipe French Doors bathe the interior with soft natural lighting. Ceilings are 10' and 12'. White walls and white marble floors make for a bright cheerful atmosphere in this single level home. Minimalist Euro-style kitchen. Enjoy a simple life in the country with no other homes in sight. Much of the land is wooded which makes it very private and secluded. A golf cart or other small vehicle can navigate the path to the house for bringing in supplies. Leave a very small footprint in the world with this oceanfront home. Water comes from the spring near the house. A photo-voltaic system with batteries provides power, while cook-top and water heater run on propane. Diesel generator provides back up power as needed. Internet is by way of Exede satellite. TV also by satellite.
*Taxable value of land and structures on it ("additions") is determined regularly by local assessors and does not affect market price.
