Uahi Ridge

* Submit your completed application by August 25, 2026, to be included in the applicant lottery on August 31, 2026.* Uahi Ridge is a two-phase affordable rental community in Lihue designed to provide safe, long-term housing for Kauai families. Phase 1 is anticipated to be ready in October 2026, with Phase 2 anticipated in the first quarter of 2027. Together, the phases will create a walkable, family-oriented community near Kukui Grove Center, Wilcox Hospital, Kauai Medical Clinic, government offices, public transportation, shopping, services, and major employment centers. Once complete, Uahi Ridge will offer affordable one-, two-, and three-bedroom rental units for households earning up to 60% of Area Median Income. Phase 1 will include 96 units, including one manager's unit. Amenities will include community space, a playground, picnic and barbecue areas, common-area Wi-Fi, EV charging stations, mail areas, and storage for bicycles, e-scooters, surfboards, and other multimodal equipment. Phase 1 will also include 17 Project-Based Voucher (PBV) units administered by the County of Kauai Housing Agency (KCHA). Eligible households may receive rental assistance while they remain eligible and comply with all PBV Program requirements. Any applicant whose eligibility has been determined by KCHA and who is referred to the Project by KCHA will be deemed to have satisfied the applicable tenant-selection criteria and will not be subject to additional screening or rescreening by Mark Development, Inc. as a condition of unit approval. Phase 2 will add affordable housing and community-focused amenities, with preferences for Kauai residents, Section 8 voucher holders, and tenants with disabilities. It will also include a unit set aside for an individual or family transitioning out of homelessness, with supportive services anticipated from the YWCA. Together, both phases will help address Kaua i's need for affordable housing in a convenient Lihue location.
