Tucked into a peaceful lakeside setting with views of beautiful Myers Bay on the Chain O'Lakes, this endearing 2-bedroom, 2-bath home feels like something straight out of a storybook. Full of warmth and character, the upstairs living room is truly the heart of the home, featuring a stunning wood ceiling, a charming stone wood-burning fireplace, and a wall of windows that brings the outdoors in while filling the space with natural beauty and peaceful views. Step outside onto the deck and enjoy tranquil mornings with coffee or relaxing evenings surrounded by nature. The finished basement provides a generous amount of additional usable space, offering flexibility for a recreation room, guest area, game room, or additional living area. There's a full bathroom in the basement as well. A spacious 2-car garage adds convenience and extra storage for all your lake-life essentials. Whether you're searching for the perfect weekend getaway or a full-time home for someone who appreciates nature, serenity, and the charm of Chain O'Lakes living, this property delivers. Lake rights include access to a neighborhood beach, playground, and community piers-making it easy to enjoy all the fun and recreation the area has to offer. Ideally located near the stunning 110-acre Tanager Kames Forest Preserve, you'll love having hiking trails, wildlife, and natural beauty just moments from your door. Desirable Crockett Estates subdivision.
The R-1 Districts are intended to accommodate low-density, large-lot residential development and to ensure the protection of areas that develop in such a manner. These districts are a higher density version of the very-low density RE District. Like the RE District, the E and R-1 Districts are expected to accommodate only a very small amount of the county’s overall housing needs. These districts primarily serve those households who desire to live in low-density estate areas and are willing to assume the costs of doing so. Because of the relatively sparse population in E-zoned and R-1-zoned areas, the county will not give high priority to the provision of public services in the areas. Instead, public service provision by the county will be concentrated in areas where more intense future development is called for by the Regional Framework Plan. The low densities permitted in the E and R-1 Districts generally permit in accordance with applicable Lake County Health Department rules; see Chapter 171 on-site, individual sewage disposal systems and wells, thereby reducing the need for inefficient public expenditures. The R-1 Districts are intended to implement and correspond to the Regional Framework Plan’s Residential-Medium Lot future land use designation.
