Beautiful Cedar log home, adjacent to Shabbona Lake State Park. Feels like your camping year around. This is a real unique property from the sturdy built home to the proximity of the state park and forest preserve. Three bedrooms and a bath and a half. Large open living area and kitchen with skylights. Instant start gas stove for cold winter nights, in addition to a conventional furnace. Most appliances stay. Open stairway leads to the oversized loft, currently used as a bedroom with a half bath. Full unfinished basement with exit to back deck. Loads of potential for additional bedrooms and a den. Large open porch on the front of the house and oversized deck on the back of the home. Newer roofs on both the home and the two car garage. Several lots combined to make this over an acre and a half with many mature trees. Seller is a veteran and does not pay taxes. Please check with the county to establish new buyer's tax.

RC-1
Residential Conservation District
This district is intended to help implement the goal of the DeKalb County Unified Comprehensive Plan that new development should occur only on properties that are immediately adjacent to a municipality so that such properties may be annexed, rather than development occurring in unincorporated DeKalb County. Recognizing that there are existing residential uses, lots generally in the range of one acre in size and buildings in unincorporated DeKalb County that developed, or were designated for development, under significantly different regulations than those set forth in this Ordinance, this district is established to allow the conservation of such as legal, conforming uses, lots and buildings, to the extent such comply with the various regulations set forth herein. This district shall apply only to those properties so designated on the Zoning District Maps as of the effective date of this Ordinance, and shall not be subsequently applied to any other properties. This district is not intended to permit greater residential densities within the areas designated with this classification, nor to serve as a precedent for additional residential development in areas zoned A-1, Agricultural District. The map symbol and short name for this district shall be RC-1.
