This home is that rare gem that is equally beautiful on the inside and outside! The curb appeal of this classic Nantucket shingle home stands out in this lovely Winnetka locale just steps from school, parks and Hubbard Woods business district. Featured in Sheridan Road magazine, the interiors of this five-bedroom home built in 1996 were aesthetically transformed by a locally-known interior designer into a dream home for the current owners. The superb open, airy layout is perfect for today's busy modern lifestyle. The formal entry foyer is flanked by elegant living room with grass cloth wallpaper and fireplace, and dining room with tasteful trim, wallpaper, custom drapery and transitional lighting. The hub of the home is the white eat-in kitchen with island open to oversized family room with volume ceiling, built-ins and French doors to the patio and back yard. A natural light soaked stairwell with skylights brings one to the cozy second floor that boasts four bedrooms, three baths and laundry room. The luxurious primary suite is a private retreat unto itself with volume ceilings, metallic grass cloth wallpaper, walk-in large closet and large primary bath. The basement is a perfect hang out area for the family with large rec room with built-ins, exercise area, fifth bedroom and bath. Nothing to do here but move right in!

Single-Family Residential District
The requirements set forth in this chapter, together with other provisions set forth in the Building Code of the Village, have been adopted in order to provide for a single-family residential environment of relatively intense suburban character, where the degree of improvements upon an individual parcel of land is in approximate balance with the landscape area of such parcel of land. Due to the mature character of development within this district, such requirements are also intended to assure that future modifications to existing structures, or the replacement of existing structures with new structures, will not alter the scale and general character of established neighborhoods. In this regard, the requirements set forth in this chapter are further intended to foster development which is compatible, in general, with the character of existing single-family development within the immediate neighborhood with respect to external architectural scale, landscaping and other site improvements.
