What a view! Overlooking the shimmering expanse of Lake Monroe, this extraordinary all-brick home with a full finished walkout basement offers a rare treasure: a PRIVATE DOCK on a 10,000-acre lake – grandfathered, no additional permits will ever be issued. This is a very rare find. From water skiing and fishing to being just a short boat ride to Four Winds Marina for dinner, this property puts the lake lifestyle at your fingertips. Thoughtfully designed inside and out, the home blends timeless craftsmanship with modern comfort. The oversized two-car garage (687 sq. ft. ) and additional drive-in basement garage (705 sq. ft. with workshop) provide ample space for off-season boat storage, lake gear, hobbies, and more. Inside, rich hardwood floors, crown molding, tray ceilings, and walls of windows frame breathtaking lake views at every turn. The gourmet kitchen features stainless steel appliances, granite countertops, and a view that makes even your morning coffee feel special. The main level offers both formal and casual spaces with a dining room, living room, breakfast nook, family room, and half guest bath, along with a spacious primary suite complete with jetted tub, separate shower, and dual vanities. Two additional bedrooms and a full bath complete the main level. The living room, family room, and primary suite all walk out to a recently renovated and expanded massive deck made of composite decking material for easy maintenance. The walkout basement is perfect for guests or entertaining, with a family room, full kitchen/bar, bedroom, full bath, and lower-level garage access. A gorgeous flagstone patio is accessed from the lower-level family room, ideal for evenings by the water. Above the main garage, a generous bonus room could serve as a 5th bedroom, game room, or home office. This is more than a home—it’s a front-row seat to Lake Monroe’s beauty, where each day begins with sparkling water views and ends with unforgettable sunsets. Please view the virtual tour for more pictures of this magnificent property.
Simply put this is one of the most dynamic homes in Bloomington with a view of Lake Monroe that is not only extremely rare but unmatched by few. The home comes with a private boat dock which is a scarce amenity for the lake. Paired with the 705 sqft lower attached garage to the home, storing your boat during winter and having a place to keep it on the water during summer is satisfied. The ranch style home is 2x6 construction with the entire exterior finish in brick. The owners thought of just about everything when building this home. Huge master bedroom on the main level, laundry on the main level, a formal dining room, living room, breakfast area, and family area round out the main level space. All bedrooms have a lake view, 3 total on the main, 1 on the lower level. Most all of the living areas facing the lake have window views of the water. The master bedroom has a large window framing the lake for the perfect picture to greet you in the morning. Master bedroom walks out to the back deck facing the water. SR
AREA 1
Suburban Residential District
The character of the Suburban Residential (SR) District is defined as that which is primarily intended for existing, possibly nonconforming, recorded single family residential subdivisions and lots of record. Its purposes are to accommodate existing, substandard subdivision developments and lots, to permit the build-out of single family residential uses in those developments and lots, to encourage the development of sanitary sewer systems for the existing development in the Lake Lemon area, to discourage the development of nonresidential uses, to protect environmentally sensitive areas, such as floodplain, karst, and steep slopes, and to maintain the character of the surrounding neighborhood. Therefore, the number of uses permitted in the SR District is limited. Some uses are conditionally permitted. The conditions placed on these uses are to insure their compatibility with the residential uses. The need for expanding this district beyond the areas designated on the Official Zone Maps on the date of the adoption of the zoning regulations is not anticipated or encouraged.
