Planned Unit Development Overlay District
The purpose of a Planned Unit Development is to encourage flexibility in the development of land in order to promote creativity and unique use configurations; to improve the design, character and quality of new developments; to encourage a harmonious and appropriate mixture of uses; to facilitate the adequate and economic provision of streets, utilities and city services; to preserve the natural environmental and scenic features of the site; to encourage and provide a mechanism for arranging improvements on sites so as to preserve desirable features; and to mitigate the problems which may be presented by specific site conditions.
