00000 Ridge Rd, Sharon, KS 67138

Located at the intersection of paved Northeast Ridge Road and Tri-City Road in northeast Barber County is this combination tract that features 184 acres of rich class 2 tillable soils and an easily accessible yet secluded 52 acres of native grassland. A unique feature is that there is blacktop access to both tillable fields as well as to the native grassland portion that splits the tillable land in the center. The 184 tillable acres are comprised of roughly 88% class 2 soils that include over 60% Nalim loams and over 27% Ost clay loams with an NCCPI score of 68. The farm ground is mostly flat with an elevation change of approximately 10 feet with good drainage and some light terrace work. A feature that really sets this tract apart is an elevation change of over 36 feet from the perimeter to the far south end of the pasture located in the center of the property that creates a sanctuary for the local wildlife that call this area home. The majority of the pasture area cannot be seen from any road on the perimeter of the property. Some light timber and a seasonal pond located at the north end of the pasture also add to the recreational appeal. A local seasoned tenant currently looks after the land with an established crop rotation in place. The 184 acres are currently planted to wheat so possession will follow the 2027 wheat harvest.
