Traditional Urban Mixed Use: The Traditional Urban Mixed-Use TUMU district consists of the historic main streets of Covington's in-town neighborhoods. Priority is placed on optimizing the physical characteristics of the built environment for increased walkability and a vibrant center building upon the historic character of Covington's neighborhood main streets. This district supports the small-scale fine-grained character of the historic neighborhoods with a mix of attached and detached mixed-use buildings on small lots. Buildings are close to the sidewalk and off-street parking is screened from public spaces.; Historic Preservation Overlay: The HP secondary district works in conjunction with the primary district to protect and preserve contributing buildings, structures, appurtenances, and places that are of basic and vital importance for the maintenance and development of the City's culture, because of their: Importance.
