A-R
Rural Agriculture Zone
The A-R Rural Agriculture Zone is established to preserve the rural character of the Daviess County Rural Service Area by promoting agriculture and agriculturalrelated uses, and by discouraging all forms of urban development except for rural residential and limited conditional uses. A zone change from A-R to a more urban classification would deprecate the objectives of the Comprehensive Plan and should be discouraged unless the request involves incidental land uses for which provision is not made or which ordinarily do not occur in urban areas i.e., land and resource dependent uses - mining, agriculture, forestry, etc. A zone change from A-R to A-U would normally occur subsequent to projections that the need exists for additional potential urban development area.
