Welcome to River Lure! Return to an era of grandeur and luxury. River Lure is an historic jewel of the historic city of Cambridge with its high command and sweeping river views. This 1895 historically- significant gem of a house is arguably the finest combination of vistas and finishes in a single home on the mighty Choptank River in Cambridge. The house is sited on a double lot with 120 linear feet of protected water frontage . There are spectacular views from every room and multiple porches. There are fabulous sunrises to begin your day and full moons hovering over the 2 mile lighted bridge and the historic light house. A plethora of wildlife pass by the front of this property often in perfect harmony with kayakers, sailing vessels, paddle boarders and motor boaters. The house was gutted down to its studs in 2010-11 and rebuilt lovingly with superior materials. There are 2 heating and cooling systems with 4 zones. The exterior is beautiful and most importantly maintenance free. We shall let the photos speak for themselves. In addition to the beautiful wrought iron gates that afford access to the property there is a 75 foot dock with a 15' by 20' T at the end of the pier that grants easy and instant access to the River. The pier boasts electricity, water, 2 slips and a boat lift. Come to River Lure and be one with the water. For the work- at -home professional, artist, sculptor, photographer, handy man or car collector there is a new 14 foot by 40 foot outbuilding/garage that was rebuilt in 2013. Well lit, this outbuilding has endless possibilities. It is surrounded by a beautiful brick pathway and endless gardens. The location is superior! Grand wide open views yet within walking distance to the Yacht Club, to downtown restaurants and shops and to all the city parks and marinas. This would make a great primary home, or a wonderful second home and/or airbnb combination. Cambridge is on the verge of exploding yet values are still incredibly compelling. Please call me for details about the Renaissance that is underway in Cambridge.

The intent is to maintain the character of neighborhoods including the setting for important historic and cultural resources. The district regulations are also intended to establish reasonable conditions for the continuation of non-residential uses that pre-date City zoning and to allow other non-residential uses under strict guidelines and upon special review. There shall be four NC districts each corresponding to the unique settlement patterns therein.
