A LETTER FROM OUR SELLERS: We’ve lived on Clement Road for 26 years, having moved from a townhouse just a half mile away because we liked the neighborhood so much. There are many wonderful features, beginning with the horseshoe shape of the road, which means you’ll only see local traffic and not much of that. Steps away you’ll find an entrance to Sligo Creek Park across the street. Turn right to a playground; turn left, and you’ll have many choices. Take a walk as far as Wheaton Regional Park, or stop sooner and visit a larger playground, or go to Sligo Creek Golf Course for 9 holes or a summer concert every Friday night from 6 to 8 through mid-October. More spring and summer concerts are a mile-long walk or short drive to downtown Silver Spring. On Saturday mornings year-round, go there for the farmers’ market or other times for the vast array of restaurants, the public library, or the shops. The Silver Spring metro stop and bus hub are just a mile and a quarter from the house, and Ride-On buses are even closer. What we’ll miss most, though, is the neighbors. No block anywhere has a more welcoming, community-minded, and helpful group of people, representing all age and ethnic groups. We even have two emergency room doctors living on the block! The house speaks for itself, but we’ve always enjoyed the sunroom off the kitchen and the comfy space next to it with the gas fireplace. The large living room proved perfect for entertaining.
