This property has a rich history! Welcome to the ''Walsh'' cabin, a location mentioned in books by a local author. The cabin is situated at the end of a peaceful, tree-lined driveway, perched on a bluff overlooking the St. John River. To the left, you'll find the privy, with the cabin nestled against the tree line on the right. As you enter the rustic cabin, you'll discover a quaint kitchen featuring an island. A unique shower is conveniently located just inside the doorway. A central staircase divides the open space, and a wood stove sits midway through the downstairs area, providing warmth. The living area, with a dining section, offers stunning views of the St. John River beyond and below the bluff. A propane heater is located on the right wall, and the water tank is in the front corner. Upstairs, you'll find two unfinished bedrooms. Bring your skills and imagination, as there is great potential to create your own space. A riverside door opens onto a deck where you can relax and watch the river flow peacefully by. A five-foot pathway leads from the top of the bluff to the river's edge, allowing the owner to easily set a canoe down by the riverside or place a chair in the cool water for a tranquil afternoon. The cabin is supported by concrete piers, and the sills have been replaced. Don't miss the chance to own a piece of Allagash history!
