0 Pomp Is, Beals, ME 04611

Stand on the shoreline of Pomp Island and the only sounds are wind, water, and whatever weather is moving through. This is 28 acres of island, all of it yours, with a three-bedroom cabin already in place and a 15 to 20 minute run from the public landing in Jonesport. From the cabin, the view runs in every direction. Open water to the south through Moosabec Reach. Eastern Bay to the north. Shoreline wrapping the whole island, every foot of it private. Working lobster boats pass through the Reach during the season, far enough off that they read as part of the scenery rather than activity directed at you. The cabin is 990 square feet. Three bedrooms, one full bath. Built in 1990, renovated through the late 1990s and early 2000s, well maintained since. Condition is genuinely good. Not new construction, not a project. Off-grid by design. Wood stove for heat, which makes this a three-season property in practice. Solar handles essential devices. Propane covers the rest. Water comes from a rainwater-fed cistern. Septic is a holding tank. The systems are simple and they work, which is the point of building this way. The shoreline is yours all the way around. No neighbor closer than the mainland. Access is boat only, but Jonesport is close enough that this place gets used through the season, not just visited a few weekends a year. The rest of the world is across the Reach. And at night, it stays there.
