Is this Portland's 'best' neighborhood? If it were, what would that mean?? There would likely be quiet tree-lined streets ideal for walks, friendly neighbors and lots of parks and playgrounds close by, there would have to be a sprinkling of shops, cafés and restaurants and finally walk-ability to all - including schools from pre-k to post-grad. So, now that we've found the ideal area how about the 'just right' home: 3,000+sf, 4-5 bedrooms, 3 baths, lots of updates, modern amenities where you want/need them (kitchen and baths) and period charm everywhere else. It would have to have lots of updates from new wiring, plumbing and ideally super-efficient heat along with a low maintenance exterior. Finally add in the ideal lot that is big enough but not too big and ideal for afternoon barbecues with family and friends. The perfect place for the perfect life.
