In the late 1940's to the early 1950's, a group of avid hunters formed the Silver River Reserve to promote access to outdoor opportunities for their members. Property owners within the Reserve pay an annual fee of $75 for road maintenance. The access roads are seasonal. The property is completely wooded with maple, birch, large hemlock, cedar, and other hardwood & softwood species. It has a future timber value potential. There is an intermittent creek that flows through the SE corner of the parcel. The area offers plenty of outdoor activities which include hunting, fishing, kayaking/canoeing, skiing, snowmobiling and it is located near the North Country Trail for the hiking enthusiast.
