Medium Density Residential District
This district is derived from the Medium Density Residential land use classification in the Schoolcraft Township Master Plan, and is intended for single-family dwellings on medium or larger size lots which do not require urban services such as municipal water supply or sanitary sewer facilities. This district is intended to allow suburbanstyle single-family development in certain outlying areas of the Township, as well as near the Village of Vicksburg and Village of Schoolcraft, and in some areas adjacent to lakes, where single-family residential development has occurred or is encouraged. Non-residential uses are essentially excluded from this district, or severely restricted, to avoid disrupting the single-family residential nature of the district. Development in areas of this district near lakes; streams;wetlands may be subject to certain overlay waterfront preservation and environmental protection requirements specified in Article 5 of this Ordinance.
