Tucked at the end of an 800-foot gravel drive just outside Pelahatchie, Double E Ranch sits on nearly 23 acres of open pasture and quiet Mississippi countryside built for both equestrian living and everyday comfort. Just 10 minutes from town and within easy reach of Jackson, Flowood, and Madison, this custom-built retreat offers the kind of peace that's increasingly hard to find. Custom-built in 2018 by the current owners, the property centers around a 6,600-square-foot barndominium. This 60x110 foot structure brings the home and stables together under one roof. The living space is 1,977 square feet and reflects the owner's lifelong passion for rodeo and roping, brought to life as a true western-style showpiece with natural wood tones carried throughout the home. Details include dirty top wood walls sourced from a historic building in the Carolinas and tin accents repurposed from the original structure on this property. The kitchen anchors the living space with granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, and a striking centerpiece: a genuine yoke turned chandelier, salvaged from an early 1900s hardware store in Louisiana. The owner's suite sits just off the kitchen and living room and offers a private retreat of its own, with direct access to the side porch, a great bath featuring double granite vanities and a walk-in granite shower, and an oversized closet that flows straight into a spacious laundry room, complete with a deep single-basin sink and generous counter and storage space that doubles as a pantry. On the opposite side of the home, a guest suite mirrors the same quality, with a large bathroom featuring a granite walk-in shower and abundant space. Step out the back door and the craftsmanship continues under one roof. A breezeway offers covered vehicle parking and leads directly into the stables, feed and storage rooms, and equipment bays, keeping the working side of the ranch just steps from the living quarters. Upstairs, an expansive attic offers additional storage, while a wraparound porch invites you to sit back and take in the pasture views, along with some of the best sunrises and sunsets Mississippi has to offer. The land itself is where Double E Ranch truly shines. Nearly 21 acres of post and rail fenced pasture include a one-acre paddock and a dedicated storage section. The storage area is home to a 30x50, 15-foot tall Quonset hut, previously used for RV storage. A one-acre pond, stocked with bass and bream, has produced catches as large as 13.5 pounds, while three additional sheds provide shelter for livestock. A handful of well-placed trees toward the back of the property offer welcome shade and a quiet sense of seclusion this close to town. Whether you're searching for a turnkey equestrian property, a working hobby farm, or simply a peaceful place to call home, Double E Ranch delivers on every front.
