Agricultural General District
The purposes of this district is to preserve areas for non-intensive agricultural uses and to permit a wide variety of other uses in rural sections of the County. It is the intent of this Ordinance that such districts be located primarily in those areas of Rankin County that are not served by a public or any other approved sewer system. However, each residential, commercial, industrial or public/quasi-public land use in this district shall have an on-site wastewater disposal system approved by the State Health Department and a minimum lot size for each such use of one acre, unless otherwise approved by the Health Department. Development of major or minor subdivisions in this district is not allowed.
