This historic home (circa 1750) is nestled on over 8 acres which INCLUDES the entirety of a 3 acre lake! A very rare 2 story Dutch Colonial that has been updated throughout without losing the historic charm. This is your chance to own a little part of history in Millstone, NJ and enjoy this nature lover's paradise. If you enjoy gardening, entertaining, canoeing or fishing on your own private lake - THIS IS IT! The views from your private 20x18 deck and dock are breathtaking with the solar powered fountains in the lake for natural aeration of the water. The home has 4 bedrooms and 2.5 bathrooms, and a lower level basement that provides internal access to the 2 car garage . A new (2022) 2 Zone forced air High Efficiency HVAC and brand new Central Air, all new gas SS appliances and wide plank pine floors through most of the living spaces and bedrooms. There is a private 2 car driveway in the front of the house and a larger stone driveway with access to the attached garage on the right side. Once you enter the home you will notice the ax-carved beams throughout the entry, living room and upstairs. The hallway and primary bath have been modestly updated with fixtures and flooring. There are so many nods to yesteryear that you really have to notice the details that the homeowners have painstakingly kept to preserve the original historic charm. The vent in the center hall foyer is no longer a working vent from previous oil heat source, but was kept to show the character of the center hall colonial. The turned staircase has original wood treads that will alert you to when someone is descending from the bedrooms. There is a full stand up attic with access from the hallway on the second floor outside the hall bath that contains the upper zone ductwork for central air and heat with its own thermostat. Beautiful property with tons of potential for entertaining and a peaceful life!

RU-P
Rural Preservation Zone
The purpose of the RU-P zoning district is to maintain the rural character of the Township; to promote the preservation of the open space and farmland areas of Millstone Township; and to minimize the impact of new development on natural resources and rural features of the community. Within the zone are large areas of farmland, prime agricultural soils, and open space. A further purpose of the zone is to promote the vision and policies of the State Development and Redevelopment Plan for the State's rural environmentally sensitive planning area in western Monmouth County as well as to support the implementation of the Monmouth County Farmland Preservation Plan and Program for the Farmland Preservation Areas of Millstone. The RU-P zone protects the environment by supporting the preservation of environmentally sensitive features such as freshwater wetlands, steep slopes, stream corridors, forests, and wildlife habitat areas including the Assunpink Wildlife Management Area
