Come and see this Enviromental Eco-friendly Green Earth Shelter home on more than 10 acres in Tulpehocken schools, super energy efficient and so very peaceful. There is a 27 handle kitchen with Corian counters, breakfast bar, and tile floor, a huge living room with cement floors, a propane stove which is basically the only heat the current owners use even though there is hot water radiant heat in the floors. Then a multi-purpose room that can be used as a den, office or even a third bedroom. In the front of the home is an exercise room with a lap pool and a sauna, then two nice size bedrooms with big closets and a huge bathroom with access to the utilities. The hallway has pull down steps to the attic for plenty of storage. There is a spiral staircase leading to a loft which has many possibilities, also an oversize two car garage with even more storage in another loft, older cabinets and a half bath. The outside needs to be seen, there is a shooting range and a hunting cabin with plenty of trails for four wheeling and hiking. Property is NOT currently enrolled in Clean & Green program. This is a one of a kind property and if you want privacy this may be for you!--

EP
Environmental Protection District
The intent of the Environmental Protection District to encourage the preservation of the contiguous steep sloped, wooded, mountainous areas of the Township, which are primarily located along the Blue Mountain, and the Little Mountain area. These areas are characterized as having slopes in excess of 15 percent, are mostly wooded, and are primarily in the Edgemont-Dekalb and Laidig Soil Associations. According to the Soil Survey of Berks County, land within these Associations have moderate to mostly severe limitations for community development, primarily due to slope. These areas are also generally above an elevation of 600 feet. Since these areas form the headwaters of streams, and provide significant contiguous woodland and wildlife habitat, it is the intent of this district to limit development and alteration of the natural features of these ecologically important areas. By preserving these features, wildlife populations within the Township can be maintained, stream quality can be protected, the adverse effects of increased storm runoff, erosion and sedimentation minimized, and the recreation potential of the area maintained.
