Village Office Commercial District

The purpose of the Village Office Commercial District is to provide a setting for a mix of residential commercial office and accessory residential uses that reflect the character of the historic Borough and which contribute to the soundness of the Borough's economic base while ensuring that such development constitutes a harmonious and appropriate part of the Borough as a whole and to create conditions conducive to carrying out the broad purposes of this chapter as set forth in Purposes; To promote, protect and facilitate any or all of the following; The public health, safety, morals and the general welfare; Coordinated and practical community development and proper density of population; Emergency management preparedness and operations; Airports and national defense facilities The provision of adequate light and air, access to incident solar energy; Police protection. Vehicle parking and loading space; Transportation, water, sewerage, schools, recreational facilities, public grounds, the provision of a safe, reliable and adequate water supply for domestic, commercial, agricultural or industrial use and other public requirements; Preservation of the natural, scenic and historic values in the environment and preservation of forests, wetlands, aquifers and floodplains.
