In addition to the general goals listed in the Preamble and Statement of Community Development Objectives, the RN Residential Neighborhood district is established to: Allow residential development to occur as a logical extension of the historical residential development pattern found in the Village of Cochranville; Provide sufficient area, appropriately located, for a wide range of residential types that meet the housing needs of present and expected future Township population; Preserve open space and agricultural resources in close proximity to residential development by concentrating development; Assure light, air and privacy, as far as possible, by controlling the spacing and height of buildings and other structures; and Protect residential areas against hazards of fire, offensive noise, vibration, smoke, odors, glare or other objectionable influences.; Provide opportunities for innovative and ecological sewage treatment facilities to service residents in the RN district and in the Village of Cochranville.
