Following the completion of their renovations, the PA Turnpike Commission informed them that a new highway would run directly through their property, so they would need to move. The commission wanted the land but nothing else, so they dismantled their home piece by piece and used the materials to build the home on 1521 Old Welsh Road, Huntingdon Valley. The home was designed by Bowers, an architect who specialized in homes that maintained historical colonial designs while offering modern conveniences. The result is this charming 3-bedroom, 2 full-bath, 2 half-bath main house with a 1st floor master bedroom, 4 fireplaces, an eat-in kitchen, and a cathedral ceiling living room with a balcony featuring random-width pegged maple hardwood floors. Many features from the original Trevose house were maintained, including beamed ceilings, wainscoting, and the fireplace mantels and hearths. The basement is finished with a half-bath and a family room with a gas-burning fireplace. Arthur and Pauline also built a studio named Northlight for their artwork. This has since been converted into a guest house with a kitchen, bath, and laundry area. When Arthur and Pauline moved the materials from their Trevose home to build this home, they also brought full-grown dogwood trees, holly trees, rhododendrons, and azaleas to adorn the 1.96-acre property.
