Wyndemere Farm, a breathtakingly enchanting property, no other like it in Chester County. Come experience the peacefulness and the beauty of 215 acres, a rare find!! History emanates from every corner. There are old lime kilns, picturesque ponds, hence the name Wyndemere, and a great Blue Heron rookery that is truly a wonderful and uncommon site. The gardens are beautiful. There is an old school house which dates back to the late 1800's. The main house has great charm and dates back to the late 1700's. The farm has been in the same family for over 100 years. There are walks to be had, sunsets to be watched, fish to be caught and wine berries to be harvested. This truly beautiful retreat is only 35 minutes to Wilmington, 45 minutes to the Philadelphia International airport or fly your own plane to the New Garden Flying field, which is a mere 5 minutes away. Close to wonderful places like Longwood Gardens, the Brandywine River Museum and the quaint town of Kennett Square and the list goes on. .. this one must not be missed.

Agricultural Preservation District
In addition to the general goals listed in the Purposes and Community Development Objectives section 103 of this Ordinance, the purposes of this Section are: To encourage and promote continued agricultural, open space, and conservation uses in the AP zoning district, while also permitting low density residential development as would be compatible with the existing rural character of the area and agricultural uses.; To recognize agriculture as a productive land use and as an ongoing and viable component of the economy of the township and Chester County and to provide suitable areas for such uses. To preserve prime agricultural soils that are currently in agricultural uses and to preserve natural resources, including Woodlands, Wetlands, and Floodplains, that are least appropriate for development.; To prevent adverse effects resulting from the encroachment and mixing of residential and other incompatible development with agricultural uses.; Accordingly, the district incorporates a density standard which, among other things: Provides for agricultural and low-density Dwelling uses; and; Facilitates the conservation of agricultural areas, Woodlands, Wetlands and Floodplains, surface and underground water supplies, and wildlife habitats, and the control of soil erosion due to surface water flooding.; In the AP Agricultural Preservation District, all provisions of this Article shall apply.
