This ranch-style home, owned and care for by the same family since 1977, offers a quiet retreat from a noisy world. Built in 1953, it is situated on 0.53 acres in a quiet neighborhood off of New Danville Pike in Lancaster, nestled amongst mature trees and rolling landscape. As you enter the home, the open living room and dining area allows for space to breathe and plenty of light. Hardwood floors, large windows, and unique 1950s architectural designs (such as arched doorways, broad baseboards, and detailed window framing) create a cozy gathering space for movie nights, pancake breakfasts, and Thanksgiving dinner surrounded by loved ones. The dining room opens to the kitchen through a lovely archway, making entertaining simple and convenient. With ample cabinetry and countertops, there is space aplenty for cooking up your next culinary creation. Or pause to sip your morning coffee while looking out at the beautiful back garden. From the kitchen you can access the massive unfinished basement, offering loads of storage and a blank canvas for creating the space that meets your needs—rec room, man cave, family room, crafting space, or whatever else you can dream. The living room leads to 3 first-floor bedrooms, along with a full bathroom. Each room offers hardwood floors, sun-filled windows, space, and comfort. Wake up to the sound of mourning doves, or fall asleep listening to the sigh of the autumn wind moving through the trees. It’s a pastoral paradise. A full bathroom with a walk-in shower completes the bedroom area. An additional attic space is sprawling, unfinished, and itching to be transformed into a primary bedroom suite, guest quarters, library, or office space. Once you have seen the unique and inviting interior, saunter out-of-doors to the covered, stone patio on the side of the home. Use this outdoor space for a reading nook or dining area for eating al fresco on a summer evening. The attached 2-car garage guarantees there will be a home for your vehicle, tools, gadgets, and machines. The sprawling back garden has both shade and direct sun, ideal conditions for that garden you’ve always wanted. This home has been lived in and loved for nearly 50 years, and is looking for its next owner to continue making memories. So come and make 3 Newswanger Road yours.

V
Village District
The primary purpose of the Village classification is to strengthen the unique sense of place of the traditional Village of New Danville, which is important component to the Township’s history and heritage; and to recognize and promote the continuation of the Village’s distinct identity as a traditional, compact, rural-mixed use development pattern and uses centered around the intersection Millersville Road SR 0741/ Marticville Road SR 0324 and New Danville Pike SR 0324/SR 3022. Lands within the Village have traditionally been developed as a compatible mixture of lower density residential uses along with a limited amount of supporting, small-scale commercial, institutional, and public uses. The Village is intended to accommodate only a very limited amount of new development, primarily via reuse of existing residential buildings and properties for a compatible mixture of residential and nonresidential uses. Additionally, it is intended to exclude such uses and development that are not compatible with existing development pattern and uses. Since the Village is not designated as a growth area it is not likely to be served by public sewer service or public water service within the foreseeable future; therefore larger lot sizes are indicated.
