Tucked away on a quiet street and set on over an acre that borders farmland, this brick Rancher offers a rare combination of privacy, open views, and natural beauty. What makes it truly unique is that the home sits directly on the Maryland/Pennsylvania state line, a one-of-a-kind setting that sets it apart. A lovely brick walkway leads to the welcoming front porch, framed by landscaping and flowers that make the approach as inviting as the home itself. The outdoor spaces are nothing short of outstanding. A custom brick patio with built-in firepit, winding walkways, natural stone steps, and lush landscaping create a gardener’s paradise. Mature shade trees, vibrant flowers, and thoughtfully designed plantings provide year-round color and texture. At the same time, there is a very large open grassy area — plenty of space for play, pets, or simply enjoying the wide, open yard with farmland as your backdrop. Inside, rich cherry wood floors bring warmth to the family room, dining room, and foyer. The living room is a centerpiece with a floor-to-ceiling brick fireplace, two sets of French doors opening to backyard views, and a cozy nook with pellet stove and window — the perfect spot to curl up with a book on a winter day. The kitchen combines function and style, featuring granite countertops, stainless steel appliances, abundant cabinetry, pantry, recessed lighting, and a window over the sink with a pretty view of the backyard. Just off the kitchen, the dining room boasts a chandelier, chair rail, and a large window overlooking the front yard. Three bedrooms are located on the main level, including an owner’s suite with a walk-in closet and private bath. The en-suite has been beautifully renovated with a tiled walk-in shower, glass doors, and modern finishes. The second bedroom also includes a walk-in closet. The third bedroom offers two windows for natural light and an oversized closet. Both full bathrooms have been stylishly updated, with the second offering a tub/shower combo. The lower level adds versatility with a large family room, fourth bedroom that could make a great office, half bath, recessed lighting, laundry area, abundant storage, and a radon mitigation system. Practical features include an oversized two-car garage with shelving, a workbench, and a separate rear entrance. The level driveway makes access easy and also provides an additional parking space. This home is just two miles from downtown New Freedom, five miles to Shrewsbury, twenty-five minutes to Hunt Valley or York, a short drive to Codorus State Park, and only minutes from the Rail Trail. All appliances convey, and a one-year home warranty is included. Please visit open houses. Personal Showings are limited.

Rural Residential District
The Rural Residential District is intended to acknowledge and protect existing rural development concentrations, and provide limited opportunities for additional low-density residential uses. Rural Residential Districts are located in areas of the Township without access to public water or sewer service. Only on-lot septic waste disposal systems and on-lot water wells shall be permitted in this zone. Except where mandated by the Pennsylvania Department of Environmental Protection, no public or community waste disposal and water systems shall be permitted outside the growth boundary line established by the Southern York County Regional Comprehensive Plan. These regulations are designed to exclude activities of a commercial or industrial nature and any activities not compatible with low-density residential development; to provide for the public convenience and avoid undue congestion on the roads; and to otherwise create conditions conducive to carrying out the purposes of this chapter.; It is the further intent of the Board of Supervisors to encourage flexibility, economy and ingenuity in the development of lots within this district.
