Medium Density Residential District
It is the intent of this article to provide regulations for medium-density residential uses and open space preservation in conformance with the goals of the Comprehensive Plan, Open Space and Environmental Resource Protection Plan, and the following objectives: Establish reasonable standards of performance and promote desirable benefits which single-family detached and other medium-density residential uses may have within appropriate areas of the community; To provide flexibility in site design based on its relationship with the provisions of centralized sewer and water facilities; To encourage medium-density subdivision and/or land development in areas of the Township where centralized sewer and or water system networks may be logically extended; To permit compact development, where feasible, with the preservation of open land and natural resources; To permit flexibility that encourages development to serve economic and social needs that may vary among existing and future residents.
