On the outskirts of Emmaus, a piece of history stands on a quiet road along the bank of Indian Creek. Reminders of the past are numerous prominently set in the stone walkway leading to the front entry is an old grist wheel. The hood over a wood-burning stove is a former sifting funnel & the now elegant dining room housed the flour mill centuries ago. Gleaming oak floors are found throughout the residence. A hefty wood beam traverses the main level & well planned windows illuminate the living space. On the 2nd floor are 4 generously-sized bedrooms & 3 are en suite. An impressive 3rd floor master suite currently under renovation prominently displays the gears, & pulleys that were the heart of the mill. The 1912 cupola -- a crow's nest getaway high above the treetops is an unexpected delight. Side & rear decks take full advantage of the natural beauty that surrounds Powder Valley Mill. Magnificent trees, the sound of the creek flowing past, & the waterfall from the neighboring pond. Prev condit approved for B & B
On the outskirts of Emmaus, a piece of history stands on a quiet road along the bank of Indian Creek. Reminders of the past are numerous and cleverly integrated into the home. Prominently set in the stone walkway leading to the front entry is an old grist mill wheel. The hood over a wood-burning stove is a former sifting funnel and the now elegant dining room housed the flour mill centuries ago. Gleaming oak floors are found throughout the residence. A massive summer beam traverses the main level and well planned windows illuminate the living space. On the second floor are four generously-sized bedrooms, three with en suite baths. An impressive third floor master suite, currently under renovation, prominently displays the gears and pulleys that were the heart of the mill.
