Check out the virtual tour, then come out and see it in person. Nestled in the wonderful Beaver Dam community in the Francis Marion National Forest, you'll be just 15 minutes from the shopping, restaurants, and hospital in Moncks Corner, 30 minutes to Goose Creek and Cane Bay, and less than 40 minutes from Mt Pleasant; yet the peace and quiet will make you feel like you're worlds away. This area is also a boater's paradise.Beautiful Lake Moultrie and the Cooper River with their boat landings and beaches are just 15 min away, and the boat ride on the Cooper down to the Charleston Harbor is amazing. Leave in the morning and you'll be in the harbor in time to enjoy lunch at one of the many wonderful restaurants in Shem Creek. The curb appeal of the house is undeniable, with its professional landscaping, front porch that runs the length of the house, dormer windows, and all the architectural details. The front and back porches are what make this house the perfect country home, adding almost 500 sq ft of outdoor living, so you can enjoy the nature that abounds all around. Deer are a very common sighting in the backyard, making the property a hunter's paradise. The screened-in porch is large enough to enjoy al fresco dinners while watching the sun set over the back yard. The ceiling fans on both porches will keep you cool and comfortable even in the heat of summer. The driveway is lined with blueberry bushes, and in the side yard you'll find muscadine grape vines, 2 pear trees, pomegranate and persimmon bushes, and 2 large peach trees. Once you taste these sweet, juicy peaches, you'll never want to eat store-bought peaches again. Tomato vines and peppers are in the brick raised bed gardens and should be ready to pick by in time for closing. There's plenty of parking and storage on the property for all your toys: a 2 car attached garage, a 2 car detached steel building with an attached lean-to, and a large slagged-in parking area. There's even a RV spot with privacy hedges around, complete with sewer hook-up on its own septic system, and 20 amp electric hook-up. And don't miss the fire pit in the back yard! As you enter the home, you'll be greeted by an elegant 2 story foyer, soaring cathedral ceilings in the family room, and oversized windows that run the length of the family room on the back wall, overlooking the luxurious screened-in porch. The home features the master suite and another oversized bedroom and a full bathroom downstairs, and a FROG with 2 areas separated by a hallway, and a full bathroom and walk-in closet upstairs. In the original floor plan the downstairs bedroom was supposed to be 2 bedrooms, but they chose to change it to one huge bedroom. If needed, this could easily be converted to 2 bedrooms making the house a 4 bedroom home. There is also a full walk-in attic that could potentially be finished into an additional 2 bedrooms, or just enjoy it as a great storage area. The kitchen boasts brand new shaker-style cabinetry, beautiful quartz countertops, and brand new, never used, stainless steel appliances. The dining area features bay windows that overlook the backyard, and the formal dining room would make a great office space also. The soaring cathedral ceilings in the family room make the home feel open and luxurious, while the gas log fireplace creates a warm and inviting ambiance. In the master bathroom you'll find an oversized quartz countertop with dual sinks and plenty of counter space, and 2 linen closets for all your storage needs. FLEX1
Agricultural District
A significant portion of the county's land area is used for agricultural, forestry, and agricultural/residential purposes. These areas represent the county's rural landscape and historic character of Berkeley County. The viability of agricultural operations and production is contingent upon their protection from incompatible land uses and development. Additionally, premature conversion of these lands to accommodate urban and suburban development increases the demand for costly public infrastructure. The Flex1 agricultural district is intended to implement the land use goals of the agriculture and resource conservation areas within rural areas in the unincorporated portions of Berkeley County.; This district is intended to: Preserve agricultural activities as a primary use, but to allow residential development as a secondary use.; Manage growth to protect agricultural land and land uses from development pressures to avoid increasing demands for road improvements and public infrastructure; Provide standards to control the intensity of development in rural areas of sensitive natural and historical resources.; Preserve wetlands, watercourses and other significant natural resource areas, and to preserve the scenic quality of the landscape; Preserve and protect the rural residential character of specific areas within the county.; Ensure that the cultural integrity of the county's historical resources is protected.; Protect these areas from infiltration of incompatible land uses.
